Wallpaper of the year 2022 - InCoDa

Bright Skies, Very Peri and Olive Sprig, by now we know the colours of the year 2022. But what are the patterns, shapes and styles that we will see a lot of this year and that totally fit the trends of 2022? We asked several wallpaper companies that will be present at the upcoming edition of InCoDa.

Arte - HookedOnWalls

“The Sculptura wallpaper collection by Arte will be a hit this year and deserves the title ‘Wallpaper of the Year 2022’. The collection takes its inspiration from traditional plaster. Strips of plaster were placed by hand in a pattern to be translated into a surprising vinyl collection. The typical plaster structure of mesh, cracks and unevenness are clearly visible. This intriguing wall covering with surprising geometric patterns subtly adds colour, relief and structure to the wall. The shadow play of light and dark brings the plain walls to life.
In short, Sculptura is a decorative added value in your interior without claiming all the attention.”

Masureel International

“Greenwall I not only fits in perfectly with today’s trends, but also with the spirit of the times. Climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time. A ‘green’ lifestyle is becoming very important. What characterises the wallpaper products in this collection is that they are ecological, durable and easy to clean.

Masureel has always been concerned about the planet. Even in the 1980s, when no one cared about pollution or climate change, we were already developing PVC-free products. In our search for sustainable solutions, we became market leader in water-based non-woven (textile) wallpaper.

The new Greenwall I products are even better: they do not contain PVC, but still have all the qualities of traditional vinyl wallpaper. They are strong, very easy to clean with water and above all ecological.”

Noordwand BV

“The natural and soft look of the special Dune collection fits very well the trends of 2022. Dune is unique in the world of wallpaper: wallpaper with a real and tangible sand structure. With this collection Noordwand has a fantastic collection with real structure in the house. The collection consists of beautiful earthy tones. In beautiful deep browns, rust colours, beiges and sand. The colours are quiet, but give warmth.
It fits perfectly into the current image of natural, organic shapes, with fine lines. And is perfect for a tough, bohemian or basic interior.”

Rasch Belgium and Netherlands

“The wallpaper trend for this year that we see coming back is graphic prints. Lines and shapes are the focus here and are often combined with simple colours. So the collection of the year that we have chosen is the Tropical House.
Round, or maybe square? A sophisticated graphic pattern combines both and creates an interesting disorder. This combined with simple solid colours creates a masterful balance in any room.”

Spits – House For Decorative Brands

“What we notice as a trend is that it cannot be crazy enough anymore with lots of shine and bling bling. This is particularly evident in our First Class collections, which are in the high-end segment. People are willing to pay a little more for a special wall and that is certainly the case with Roberto Cavalli 8! The popular fashion designer has outdone himself with this collection, the designs are truly stunning. Beautiful flowers with oriental influences and gold accents.”
