Total concept Interieur Collectie Dagen a proven success - Interieur Collectie Dagen

GORINCHEM – The tenth edition of the Interieur Collectie Dagen trade fair has been a success, the Interieur Collectie Dagen team says. A total of 6,623 industry professionals attended the three-day professional event at Evenementenhal Gorinchem. 135 exhibitors with over 200 different brands presented the latest collections and trends on the exhibition floor. “The 10-year anniversary of Interieur Collectie Dagen was the most beautiful and inspiring edition ever experienced by visitors.  This became very clear offline, through conversations with visitors and exhibitors, but also online. We received many positive reactions about the beautiful presentation of the trade fair and the range that was presented. We also noted that there was a great increase in visitor quality during this edition”, says Mascha de Bruin, Head of Events Interior & Retail.

Where the trade fair used to be known as a trade show for floors, Interieur Collectie Dagen has now grown into a total concept for the professional home furnishing sector where floors, window coverings, wallcoverings, and interior fabrics come together. Many new collections were shown by various exhibitors and the exhibition team also provided a great experience. As icing on the cake, the new corporate identity of the trade event was introduced on the first exhibition day. Where the old branding was more about colour, the new corporate style is an oasis of tranquillity with the segments around which the total concept revolves and with renewed colours.

De Bruin: “What made this edition so successful, is that there was something to discover and experience for every visitor. From interior decorators, parquet fitters, floor specialists, and project decorators to furniture upholsterers, interior stylists, interior architects, and speciality stores. We have made several major steps over the last years, and for good reason. Both visitors and exhibitors were very satisfied and enthusiastic. This tenth edition was a celebration for the entire professional home design sector. The enthusiasm has also led to more than 30 exhibitors registering directly for the 2020 edition.”

One of the many new elements at Interieur Collectie Dagen was the Inspiration Café that was set up in collaboration with Luxaflex. Gerard van Muijden, Marketing Coordinator of Interieur Collectie Dagen, says the following about this: “This was a huge success! The visitors indicated that the workshops given here are very useful for their company or the workshops confirmed that they were well on their way. The workshops were therefore received very positively. “The inspirers Andrea de Groot of Living Hip, Marieke Rijksen of Whisperingbold, Desiree Groenendal (Vosgesparis) of w/ Style, Wen van Woudenberg (beeldSTEIL) of w/ Style and Marina van Maanen of Veel Woongeluk gave the workshops during this edition.

The three Dutch Championships stood out at the fair as well. Sander Verbruggen was crowned Dutch Parquet Laying Champion and the competition for aspirants was won by Yoeri Horvát. Anco Rijstenbil won the National Home and Project Furnishing Championship for the seniors, while Diederik van de Kamp was the best of the juniors. This year, a VMBO challenge was organised for the first time and was won by Niek de Bree from Gilde Vakcollege Techniek from Gorinchem. The National Furniture Upholstery Championship had one winner every day, namely Anne Minnema, Anneloes Prins and Madelon van Leeuwen.

The next edition of Interieur Collectie Dagen will take place in Evenementenhal Gorinchem on 13, 14 and 15 September 2020.
