For the upcoming edition of Interior Collection Days (InCoDa), the fair organization is entering into a new partnership with Saskia Beekmans of Beekmans Design (BNI member), a familiar face in the world of interior designers, and Precofab (expert in modular and circular construction). Together they will present a Tiny House, in which each will inspire visitors from their own profession, and which is furnished with the materials of different brands.
“Our goal with this new initiative is to offer retailers and interior designers a stage during InCoDa, bring interior design professionals together and provide an answer to the tightness in the housing market. We are very pleased to join forces with Saskia, among others, who is a familiar face to us. She could also be found at one of the booths in 2021,” said Gerard van Muijden, Community Builder, on behalf of InCoDa.
Saskia Beekmans of Beekmans Design has been working as an interior designer for about 17 years with both commercial and private projects. Wherever space impacts people. “I am delighted that a collaboration with InCoDa has emerged. As an interior designer, it’s nice to be involved with big social issues. The issues of the housing market, living with people instead of living next to people, the aging population and how to combine this with the young generation. When the question came my way to develop a Tiny House from the perspective as an interior designer, my heart started beating faster. I translate vision and feeling into space. By doing so, spaces gain impact and I make the world more beautiful.
Feeling has an important role in my work and is also the universal thing that connects people. Tiny Houses is not just about small, practical and budget. It’s about going back to the origin of life. What do you really need yourself and what binds people. How to create space where feeling and practicality come together. For the trade event a Tiny House will be created with which we entered into the conversation, about small living, tiny living concepts and the future it means for the interior. A special source of inspiration for retailers, interior designers and other interior professionals,” Saskia said of the collaboration.
In addition to Saskia Beekmans, InCoDa is working with Precofab for this initiative; they specialize in modular and circular construction. They produce and deliver full-scale experience recreation of high quality. From their own factory, they produce everything in the field of recreation and residential construction: from full-scale extensions to private sanitary facilities for the recreation sector and everything in between. Together with the customer, they make the accommodations entirely according to their wishes. With the knowledge of building high quality chalets/recreational accommodations, they have the ability to build outbuildings for houses in a matter of days.
InCoDa can be visited this year on Sunday September 24, Monday September 25 and Tuesday September 26, 2023 at Evenementenhal Gorinchem. The registration portal for visitors is open starting this week.
