The physical trade fair edition of Interieur Collectie Dagen (InCoDa) has only just ended, but the organisation is already preparing for the next step: an online trend lecture with trend analyst Niek De Prest. This webinar will be organised on Monday 27 September from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in cooperation with colleague trade event Trendz (purchasing event for home decoration & lifestyle). “This exclusive trend lecture took place on the Monday morning during InCoDa, but for those who missed it, they can now attend this session online. During InCoDa, we received many enthusiastic reactions about this lecture. We would therefore like to share this great story with the entire community. Especially given the fact that not everyone could be present at the Monday of InCoDa”, says Mascha de Bruin on behalf of InCoDa and Trendz.
During InCoDa, some examples of the exhibitors’ collections were also presented in the Welcome Area. The collections of Arte-HookedOnWalls, Berry Alloc, Blend Window Fashion, BN Walls, Decoline, ELTi textiles, Gustav Gerster, Phenomena Agenturen – Donkersloot, TFD Floortile, Van Sand, Vivafloors and Vyva Fabrics, among others. The styling of this trend presentation was provided by stylist Yvonne Teijgeman. De Bruin: “We are now going to share this inspiration online. Not only with our community of InCoDa, but also for the community of our purchasing trade event, Trendz.”
Trend analyst Niek De Prest gives a sneak preview of her online trend lecture: “Only a radical event can make people suddenly change their behaviour. I call such an event a wildcard. The pandemic is a good example of such a wildcard. It has a considerable influence on our way of living and working, but anyone who analyses trends knows that a trend never just appears out of nowhere. Think about working from home. It is not really new. The so-called ‘digital nomads’ have been doing it for many years. They work where and when they want. But it remained a niche until the pandemic changed all that. Today, most of us are digital nomads of a sort. The flight to the countryside is another good example and so are many others. Understanding these trends in time and responding to them is the art and the secret ingredient of being successful.”
The webinar with Niek De Prest will be broadcast live on Monday 27 September from 10:00 to 11:00. The session can then be viewed again until Monday 22 November. During this webinar, Niek De Prest touches on four facets related to time that influence our way of living, desiring and being together. How does this manifest itself in colour and in a materialistic way? Those who are interested can register now for this webinar via this link.
