InCoDa organiser Easyfairs announced on 16 July 2020 a partnership with SGS, the world leader in inspection, verification, analysis and certification. This critical authority is internationally recognised. With this collaboration, Easyfairs wants to reinforce its commitment to ensure the health and well-being of both visitors and exhibitors, as well as its own employees, at all Easyfairs events and venues.
Update September 2020
The health and safety protocols of the home of InCoDa – Evenementenhal Gorinchem – were successfully audited by SGS in September 2020. Their positive audit confirms that we offer a safe place to meet and do business. We will also use these protocols for other locations where we organise an exhibition.
“We want to make sure that every visit to our events and venues is safe,” says CEO and founder of the Easyfairs Group Eric Everard. In this, Easyfairs goes further than any other trade show organisation because we go out of our way to create the safest place to meet and do business.
The choice of SGS is a logical one: a world leader with years of experience and a proven track record in providing integrated cleaning and hygiene solutions. SGS will support Easyfairs at all its events and exhibition halls around the world by:
- verifying the stricter hygiene and disinfection regulations at Easyfairs’ events and venues.
- Approving the training courses given by Easyfairs to its most experienced staff members to teach them how to apply the improved health and safety regulations.
- Develop a control and monitoring programme to ensure that standards are adhered to at all events.
“The events industry has a great responsibility towards health and safety. We are therefore very pleased to be working with Easyfairs to implement a monitoring programme using our technological solutions to provide comfort to visitors and exhibitors at their events for years to come,” said Peter Possemiers, Executive Vice President of SGS Environment Health and Safety services.
This approach provides Easyfairs with the assurance that its regulations are being checked and approved, and that all Easyfairs venues and events, once they reopen their doors, will be labelled by SGS as evidence that they have successfully implemented the programme. For Evenementenhal Gorinchem, this SGS label has already been achieved.
“Live events will soon play an important role in the economic recovery,” adds Everard. “It is therefore essential that we do all we can to keep our event venues clean to ensure everyone’s health and safety and to rebuild the trust of our communities. In this respect, we put all our trust in SGS, the global benchmark for quality and integrity.”
